This book focuses on test design, and I’m glad that it does. Design is intellectual part of testing. It’s the puzzle solving part. And design is a heuristic process. There is no formula you apply, no crank you can turn, to produce good tests. Don’t look for those kinds of answers, here. What you will see are suggestions and demonstrations. As Torbjörn explains, what you’re doing when you test is modelling the product in various ways and then covering those models, in a useful and economical way, with your clever test designs. This is a skill, and though Torbjörn can’t directly give you that skill through a book, this book will provide clues for developing it.

About Author – Torbjörn Ryber, has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering and has been working since 1995 on requirements management and testing in the development of computer systems.
